Charter
The Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA) Subcommittee on Engineering and Procurement Processes (ScEPP) is responsible for the development, revision, and interpretation of quality assurance requirements, guidance, and glossary of terms related to engineering and procurement processes associated with:
•   engineering design control
•   procurement, including commercial grade dedication
•   nuclear power
•   nuclear material processing
•   fuel fabrication
•   fuel reprocessing
•   special processes
•   test control
•   handling, storage and shipping of materials

The ScEPP provides technical expertise as requested by the Board of Nuclear Codes and Standards (BNCS).

The ScEPP interfaces with other standards development and industry organizations (e.g., ANS, EPRI, NUPIC, ISO, IAEA) to maintain awareness of industry trends beneficial to users of the NQA-1 requirements, guidance, and derivative products.

Reporting Structure
The ScEPP reports to the NQA Standards Committee. Leadership of the Subcommittee participates on the NQA Standards Executive Committee. Membership of the Subcommittee participates in various cross-Subcommittee activities as assigned by the NQA Standards or Executive Committees.

NQA-1 Standards, Derivative Products, and Administrative Document Responsibilities
The ScEPP is responsible for the development and maintenance of the following NQA-1 parts, derivate products, and NQA administrative documents such as:

Requirement 9,    Control of special Processes

Subpart 2.2,    Quality Assurance Requirements for Packaging, Shipping, Receiving, Storage, and Handling of Items for Nuclear Facilities
Subpart 2.5,    Quality Assurance Requirements for Installation, Inspection, and Testing of Structural Concrete, Structural Steel, Soils, and Foundations for Nuclear Facilities
Subpart 2.8,    Quality Assurance Requirements for Installation, Inspection, and Testing of Mechanical Items for Nuclear Facilities
Subpart 2.14, Quality Assurance Requirements for Commercial Grade Items and Service
Subpart 2.19, Quality Assurance Requirements for the Use of Supplier Accreditation for Calibration or Testing Services
