Scope: This Committee covers Sections B31.4 and B31.11 of the ASME Code for Pressure Piping B31. The B31.4 Code prescribes requirements for the design, materials, construction, assembly, inspection, and testing of piping transportation systems of liquids such as crude oil, condensate, natural gas liquids, liquefied petroleum gas, carbon dioxide, liquid alcohol, liquid anhydrous ammonia, and liquid petroleum products, and aqueous slurry of nonhazardous materials. The Committee also interprets these rules when questions arise regarding their intent. The B31.4/11 section Committee meets twice a year usually during March and September.
