MFC Cases out for Public Review

Cases represent alternatives or additions to existing rules. Cases are usually drafted when there is an identified urgent need to have a change, alternative requirement or new requirement available to the public. When used, requirements prescribed in Cases are mandatory in the same sense as the text of the code or standard. However, users are cautioned that not all Jurisdictions or owners automatically accept Cases.

The process to approve a Case include posting the proposed Case, revision to a Case, or annulment of a Case on the appropriate ASME standards committee web page for specified public review and comment period.

Comments should be addressed to the MFC Standards Committee Staff Secretary at PaganoM@asme.org. The public review period will close 30 days after the posted date.

Currently there are no cases available for public review.
