Establish standards for hand tools and accessories. These standards provide performance and safety requirements. These requirements encompass the elements of design, use, performance, tolerances, and configurations of, including but not limited to, wrenches, pliers and snips, screwdrivers, striking and struck tools, and torque instruments. The standards will include consideration of various classes and types of hand tools, and accessories. They will also include any tests that are needed to determine conformance with the performance and safety requirements.

The meetings are open to the public. The B107 Committees are comprised of experts in the field of Hand Tools. Members of the B107 Standards Committee are classified in the following interest classes: Producer/Manufacturer, Distributor, General Interest, and User. The B107 Committee encourage participation by consumers of Hand Tool Products. The Committee works on writing new ASME American National Standards, revising current ASME Standards, and providing for the coordination of National and International Standards.
