The Working Group on Flaw Evaluation Reference Curves will develop flaw growth reference curves for fatigue, stress corrosion crack growth, and other corrosion related mechanisms, for austenitic stainless steels, ferritic steels and nickel-based alloys in air and water environments including PWR and BWR reactor water environments. The Working Group will prepare application guidance, limitations, and procedures for the use of the flaw growth reference curves in piping, vessels, tanks and component flaw evaluations. The Working Group will develop reference welding residual stress distributions and guidelines for calculating welding residual stresses.
