ASME administers several bodies which develop theU.S. position in an international standardization activity.Such bodies are designated by ANSI as TAGs for specific ISO activities. The makeup of TAGs includes participants from companies, technical and trade organizations, government agencies, and individuals. The scope of a U.S. technical advisory group shall be consistent with the applicable portion of the scope of the ISO technical committee or subcommittee. The US TAG to ISO/TC 100 is made up of participants from the B29 Committee on Chains and Sprockets for Transmission and Conveying. The scope of TC 100 is the standardization in the field of power transmission chains, conveyors chains and chain wheels.
