The B1 Standards Committee currently meets twice a per year in various locations throughout the United States. The meetings are generally held in March/April and November/December, and are open to the public. The B1 Subcommittees usually meet in conjunction with the B1 Standards Committee. The B1 Committees are comprised of experts in the field of screw threads. Members of the B1 Standards Committee are classified in the following interest classes: Producer/Manufactuer, Laboratory, Regulatory, Services, General Interest, and User. The Committee works on writing new ASME American National Standards, and revising current ASME B1 Standards. The B1 Standards Committee operates under procedures of the American National Standards Institute.
